A comprehensive Building Information Model will be created of the home, along with photorealistic renders allowing the client to experience the new development before construction has even begun.
Utilisation of Quick Response (QR) codes on the proposed plans will be the medium through which the photorealistic renders are delivered to a smartphone where they can be experienced, comparing the original physical to the proposed digital.

No matter how green conscious we become with our architecture, the outcome can still be detrimental to the environment due to user input. We cannot control the individual that occupies a space we have created, wherein often lies the undoing of a certain significance. Why not let the architecture control itself, when it really is the only one that knows what is truly best. Once human error has been eliminated from the life-cycle of a building the spaces within can operate at a much more economical and environmentally friendly way.
Today we are aware that it is humans who are responsible for the undoing of Earth's natural cycle. Through urbanisation we have initiated our own undoing. If the architecture was able to shut down all objects that were drawing power and switch off unoccupied spaces this would rule out human fault and significantly reduce each individual's carbon footprint. Occupant's will still have indirect control over their spatial environment but the architecture itself will aim to reduce excess.

We have seen how successfully augmented reality has been implemented into the architecture world. Giving clients the ability to have a three dimensional view of a building in the palm of their hand. This technology is beginning to replace the idea of 3D models and photorealistic renders as it all happens in one, while the user has the ability to manipulate the view for an interactive feel.
The problem with AR at the moment is that it simply "simulates" a piece of architecture or planned construction. In other words, it is just a really cool way to display something to clients. Plans are constantly changing, different drafts need to be drawn up and spatial experimentation is always taking place. If these experiments could be made in real-time within the augmented reality it would give the client a much greater ability to decide upon what they want, as well as saving unnecessary draft alterations.
Essentially the objects would be interactively changing their shape and appearance based on current desires of the client.
